Jade’s Story
Hi, I’m Jade—the creator and soul behind Twisted Jades. I live in Florida with my husband of 20 years and our three wonderful children—one girl and two boys.
My Background
With an Associate’s Degree in Health Information Technology and a Bachelor’s in Human Resources and Organizational Leadership, I spent years navigating the corporate world. But something always felt missing.
Creativity had always been my escape—a way to bring imagination to life. Between raising three kids and managing a full-time career, I rarely had the time to nurture that side of myself. Eventually, I realized that I wanted more than just a career—I wanted a purpose. A space where my love for the eerie, the enchanting, and the artistic could thrive.
How It All Began
My journey into candle-making started as a simple creative outlet. As I experimented with wax and fragrance, I noticed a pattern—many sellers focused on safe, traditional scents. But I craved something different. I wanted scents that told stories, evoked emotions, and transported people to another world.
Being Puerto Rican, I first turned to my heritage for inspiration. One of my earliest creations was Tembleque, a scent reminiscent of my mom’s sweet coconut pudding, filling our home with warmth and nostalgia. But my love for the dark and mysterious soon led me down another path—one where gothic, witchy, and horror-inspired scents took center stage.
This passion for storytelling through fragrance became the foundation of Twisted Jades—a brand that blends the eerie with the enchanting, crafting scents that are as haunting as they are beautiful.
The Meaning Behind Twisted Jades
The name reflects my personality and passion:
Twisted – A love for all things dark, witchy, and mysterious. My heart beats for gothic aesthetics, horror, dark fantasy, and true crime.
Jade – A name that resonates with me, drawn from my favorite color and beloved characters in games.
What started as simple 8oz tin candles and clamshell wax melts has grown into a collection featuring status jar candles, molded wax melts, and a luxurious line of bath powders.
